Type: 3 year temporary contract on W2
Description: This is a highly visible job, responsible not only for developing high-level architecture designs but also for effectively communicating with the clients and managing the entire show. The selected resource will conduct assessments and reviews on systems and third party vendors and tools and develop road-maps for future growth. S/he will prepare and initiate assessments/audits facilitated by electronic survey’s and questionnaire assessments, interviews and control reviews. S/he will provide support for systems and network-related issues, document the findings and will be responsible for training others.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, design, implementation, and operation of systems and network infrastructure projects and participate in the specification of business requirements and implementation plans for technically advanced internetworking solutions;
- Manage implementation of systems and network infrastructure projects, from both technical and communication aspects;
- Review systems and network design for security and other risks during course of projects;
- Serve as a liaison to vendors and/or third-party providers as assigned;
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to other resources and to customers;
- Provide infrastructure design, implementation planning, deployment support, software strategy, system troubleshooting, performance engineering and optimization, maintenance strategy;
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfer and mentorship to internal engineering peers as required and lead technical staff responsibilities;
- Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards;
- Maximize network performance by monitoring performance: troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with other teams on network optimization;
- Secures network and server systems by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access;
- Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed; and
- Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information.
